I don't really know how to tell you who I am...
I used to hold the titles of wife, stay at home mom, homeschool mom, and missionary. But in 2019, due to betrayal, sin, and Satan's deception, I lost most of those titles. In 14 days, as the deception was exposed, I lost my husband and our home in Uganda where we had served with the Orthodox Presbyterian Church as missionaries for 7 years and we moved to Georgia, back to the home where I grew up.
I am now a single mom to 9 amazing third-culture kids and we're all learning to navigate this new life of ours in America. I am also a graduate student online with Grand Canyon University, studying to become a Christian counselor.
Life has certainly changed! But I do have one title that has remained the same. That is that I am a Christian. My creator God sent his Son Jesus to die on the cross and rise again to save me from my sin. He is a faithful God, who will never leave me. He also sends his Holy Spirit to comfort me and to help me. I am so thankful for his constant and clear love to the kids and me.
I have some kids in college and some kids that are homeschooling. We have a dog named Lousia May, a hamster named Hamlet, a python named Pythor, and two sweet chirpy parakeets named Sugar Plum and Honey Bun. I love writing, photography, mountain biking, running and most anything outdoors. Despite all the hard in my life, I can still say with confidence that the "lines have fallen in pleasant places" and that the River in my desert is beautiful.
